Traffic Operation Heol Trelai

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

On Monday 10/11/2025 Ely neighbourhood policing team conducted a traffic operation with South Wales fire and rescue service and the casualty reduction team on Heol Trelai. Local residents have previously raised concerns regarding the speed of cars in the area on the 20PMH road.

Results of the operation are as follows;
Twenty nine people had an educated for Speed course
One educated for Seatbelt course
One traffic offence report for Speed
One arrested for Drug drive.

If there are any further issues or any concerns residents should report to South Wales Police.
